Planning

Well I got up this morning and DD and I took the puppy for a long walk.. it was a great morning.. misting rain and no wind! just perfect! ... That was about it for my exercise today.. but better than nothing.. Tomorrow I plan to do lower body.. figuring that its better to lift than do cardio.. trying to at-least keep the muscle I have gained .. I know next week hiits start again.. so its o.k :) .. I must admit I really do miss feeling good. this low impact cardio doesnt give me the rush and stress relief I am use too! I had an idea tonight.. I am going to plan my weeks meals and post them on the side bar of my blog.. I think it will do two things.. 1. it will motivate me to actually plan a whole week.. 2. it will help me stay focused and motivated to stay on track if you gals out in cyber space know what I have planned. .. So.. my goal.. by this time tomorrow night.. have my weeks worth of meals posted. .. Then Sunday go grocery shopping.. for the much anticipated start day MONDAY! yip...

So ready-workout update

oh.. I am so ready for the CH3 to begin. I have seven days off from working out and eat correctly and I just dont feel good. Low energy, tummy aches (last night at 230am) and back problems are really mentally getting me ready to get back on track. Having these days off makes me remember what I use to feel like all the time! I dont like it one bit!. On the home front.. Yesterday the DH and I worked on cleaning and organizing but the biggest news is we got the garage back to being organized yet again.. with both treadmills and the new to us weight bench.. I will have to post pictures later.. but it sure is more motivating to go workout when you dont have to look at xmas decorations and oil cans all the time :) I have the eating for life book on hold at the library and will go pick it up today.. I also have cooking lites cookbook and they have some good recipes too.. I am going to try and make our menu plan for the first week and try some new recipes every week.. with the plan to have a ...

not quite 50... but not 10 either

well.. as I sit here in san antonio I breath heavy in the exaustion of the christmas classic sprint competition. I am happy to say. .that I did pretty darn well against my 14 year old nephew... the first sprint .. he won.. only because I slipped at the beginning and started laughing.. the second sprint.. I declare was a tie!... not bad for an almost fourty year old mother of three!.. Our pushup contest ... nephew.. 26 huffin and puffin.. this hot mom.. 25.. not huffin and puffin.. I could have done a couple of more but decided to quit :),,, what fun this has been... an of course I have easter to look forward too.... for our next competion :) I have had a great christmas... but havent felt as good as I do right now.. in a bout four days... its amazing how great i feel when I excersise! SO.. I will go for now... so looking forward to next week.. and the start of CH3.. merry christmas.. and if you are feeling old..go pick a kid and run sprints against him.. even if you do lose. atleast y...

Long walk, treadmill, and travel plan

Well.. I got up this morning and after eating breakfast took the puppy for a long walk. She is the funniest thing.. she HATES leaving the house.. and pulls back against me refusing to come with me.. She does this for the first 5 min or so.. when she finally figures out that I am in charge and that she is not going to win she walks great.. but when we turn home.. boy.. she wants to get out in the lead.. which is a no no.. Anyway.. I love the fact that she is a home body and I think as she gets older she will enjoy walking. BUT.. I feel so bad cause when I got home she was licking her paws.... ends up she has four little soars on her her four little paws... :( from resisting the walk.. .. On the great side of things she has tons of energy and loves to run.. so I think she is going to a great encouragement for me to get my runs in .. and may even motivate me to run more.. :) Well.. I mentioned on joshas comment that we just got a treadmill given to us. DH has been wanting another treadmil...

Today.

OH I am feeling so good right now.. I just finished my workout and I am getting ready to go do some running around with the family. I wanted to post before i left. I am so much happier knowing my workout is completed... and I feel like I have finally woken up! .. I think working out in the morning lifts my blood pressure.. I just feel so good afterwards. Heres what I did: legs: Lunges: 24 (12 on each leg alternating) Quads: Leg extensions 12.10.8.6. Hammies: Dead lifts 12.10.8.6 (I did no burnouts cause after my lunges my legs were like jello:) Back: Lat pull downs 12.10.8.6 with bent over rows as burnouts Bis: Preacher curls with preacher curl bench that adds on to our new weight bench. 12.10.8.6 standing bumbbell curls as burnouts. We have yet to move the treadmill inside but I think i might see if the DH will help me do that today. I think I would be more motivated to run if I have "its too cold in the garage" NOT as an excuse anymore. :) ---------------- Heres a poem by B...

UPDATED! "NO workout today.. YET.."

Well.. today had its ups and downs.. but I am feeling so GREAT right now .. mostly because I cleaned out the garage so I will feel like going in there and working out! .. With the construction on the bathroom (sheet-rock etc) and the Holidays (decorations etc) .. and DH selling his old car (all the contents of the trunk).... and getting out the kids winter clothes from the attic (bags everywhere).. my workout area was in a shambles. .. Its now swept and vacuumed and ready to go. .. ..Its funny.. its like i get stressed out when I dont workout now.. .. like its a habit or something! weird. We will go to eat a DHs mom and dads tonight for stew (DFiL makes great stew).. and I will lift when I get home. I was spose to have done Chest, shoulders, and tris yesterday but I skipped it.. so instead of cardio today.. i will lift. (i did take the dog for a walk.. does that count for light cardio?.. even if I was having to drag her most of the way?).. .. so.. I will post later tonight.. Adding to...

My Plan-between NOW and Jan 1

I always had the 6th month milestone in my mind and with the reaching of that milestone I would take one week completely off from hard workouts. I would give myself a whole week off. Well.. now that I am here.. I have decided to change it up a bit. I will give myself 7 days to use between now and Jan 1. Those seven days will be used for days to have as no workout days. No mind you I WILL do some form exercise.. just not as hard. I think what will end up happening is I will do low impact cardio.. like walking the puppy.. instead of Hiit running. So the Habit of exercise is still in my day. I think this next challenge I will try and add in some flylady techniques into my day. I want to become more consistant and habitual when it comes to house cleaning. I also want to incorporate reading some bible study type books during this challenge. here is two I would like to start with. You can check them out on amazon if you like. Remembering the Past. Happy with the Present. Focused on the Future!

This is me last December. And again in July of this year. Below you will see me after six months of work. I cannot tell you how surprised I am that I actually didnt quit. I had two missed days. One day was made up for on my free day that week. and the other day was just a miss. Heres a bit of fun trivia: 6 months=26 weeks=183 days. All the weeks had six workouts except for ONE.. which had 5 workouts. I have done: approx 40 upper body workouts, 78 cardio days, and approx 37 lower body workouts. .. if I was REALLY good at math I would figure up how many squats. .. but I will just leave it be. :) What good does looking back do? It reminds me of the person I use to be. It keeps me focused on my goal to stay fit and healthy. And it makes me so very thankful that I have made such great progress towards becoming the person I know I was ment to be. Full of energy, strong, happy, able to leap over kids and puppies in a single bound! :) .. (or pick them up when they are hurt)... Yep.. Thankful. ...

one more workout until 6 month goal!

I can not believe tomorrow is the 18th! I have been so busy this last week with keeping up with things.. or atleast trying to.. that I completely forgot that tomorrow is the day! sweet. for todays workout I did this: cardio: two walks with the dog with fast runs built in between.. and ab work .. LOTS of abs in the floor while watching 60 mins with DH. I am re-energized realizing that tomorrow I reach my goal. now to go finish watching survivor. :) more in the morning after my lifting. blessings

Merry Christmas

Well.. today was my families christmas.. everyone except my brother and his family came to my house.. it was fun. A day full of cooking.. (eating) and laughter. I didnt workout yesterday and decided to post right now.. to keep me motivated to go workout. I will have mine done no later than 830.. even with company. :) I am really tired.. but I know I will feel so much better after I lift. .. just the way I work these days i guess. I am REALLY looking forward to Challenge 1 of 2007. I miss my schedule. it will be nice to be back in a routine. --good news.. my size six are still zippable. my goal is to make it through the holidays without gaining a size (something I have not done in years!).. almost there! OK.. enough for now.. going to lift.. Fitting it in.

Well... short post for tonight.. company is on its way.. and I have floors to mop and supper dishes to clean.. I have not worked out today (unless you call housecleaning workin out)... but I have a plan for tomorrow.. I will have today as my free-off day from working out.. and I will do my lifting tomorrow after our family eats its big breakfast... OR after we eat the big lunch (around2pm).. goal is before bed tomorrow night I will have done my lifts i missed today. (chest, shoulders, and tris).. then Sunday I will do cardio.. that way I have not "missed" a workout for this week. :) I fixed FISH tonight for the first time.. it was whiting.. tasted a little fishy but it has 21 grams of protein.. I also had mixed veggies cooked in a skillet.. and BOY was it good (zucchini, squash, onion, mushroom, red and green bell pepper, garlic salt, a bit of season salt, YUMMY!).. I had three helpings! :) now its time to go clean up my mess! .. good news on the BFL energy front! .. ITS BACK...

Thursdays Alley Sprints

Well.. just got my cardio finished. I was going to run on the treadmill but the garage is a mess (one of my many projects today) and it was colder in the garage than it was outside. So.. I got creative and ran from corner to corner in my back yard.. then hit the alley and ran sprints. I do think the neighbors dogs enjoyed barking at me.. and the kids thought it was funny. Who knew that cardio could be entertaining as well as good for you!.. After I did 5 sprints in the alley.... I was huffin and puffin.. I came to the patio and did "step ups" on the wooden chair. .. then I jumped rope a few minutes.. I will do ab work in a few minutes but thought I would post while I caught my breath. Eats are going good so far today. I am hoping this time tomorrow my body will be back to "normal" and I will have that body for life energy back. I'm keeping this one short today.. to much cleaning to do! keep on truckin! ruthie

Wednesday's Eats. Facing reality-MY MEASUREMENTS!

Well the little prayer for self control came in handy today! The scriptures fresh on my mind and spirit helped me get through the day without stumbling. Heres the eats so far and what I plan for tonight and tomorrow. Sorry if these "eats" posts bore you.. It does me good to get it down and stay accountable. :) Meal #1 two eggs made in pam spray (instead of butter) two toast with apple butter (instead of butter) WATER! yes.. you read correctly.. water. Meal #2 left over program speg. sauce (no noodles) and two toasts with garlic salt only (no butter). Tea. Meal #3 Almonds and water (oh.. did I just type water again! wow.) [please note that meal number three was while I was out shopping.. at drug emporium actually buying protien. I looked and looked at the protien bars and found 0 i liked.. so i decided to grab a snickers and only eat the peanut part (i give the nugout part to the kids) .. but the candy bar looked like the package had been opened when i got to the car. . so i d...

Wednesday's workout.

I just finished legs, back and bis. I think I will be sore tomorrow.. esp my bis. I love our new weight bench! Using the incline feature is so nice! I promised a short post after last nights book I wrote.. so thats it for now. I have to clean the house, do some school work and go across town to get some protein (i am completely out!) More later. Day #2. missed-My lesson

Well.. I am 170 something to 2. I figure six months with only 2 missed isnt too bad. So.. today goes down as a miss. I am finally feeling much better after a about a week and a half of PMS! YES.. you read it right. PMS and I am NOT talking about Progress Meals and Success here! I am talking about carb craving, sugar addicted, water retaining, tummy bloated, zero energy.. cranky as all get out-bite your tongue.. PMS. I havent felt that bad in months. I know why too.. I know its all my fault. I did it to myself. So..no fussing or complaining here.. the 10 lbs I have gained over the last three weeks is all my fault. No two ways about it. I know I have been feeling so bad BECAUSE I have NOT been eating correctly.. and I have NOT been pushing myself hard on workouts. I have become a slacker ladies.. I really have. SO.. what to do? heres the list: 1. tomorrow its back on program eats.. no if ands or "butter" about it! 2. tomorrow its back to working out first thing in the morni...

no workout sunday

I gave up the workout today. It is ok though.. looking forward to tomorrow anyway. =) Our sunday has been good. DH stayed home from church with the boys. Nate has a stuffy nose and a sore throat this morning. no fever. I think its allergies AND the fact the bathroom remodel has made out house very very dusty! We went over to a dear friends house to play today.. he only sneezed once while there... walked into the house when we got home.. sneezed 6 times straight. I vacuumed today but its just hard to keep-up with. We have insulation in and hopefully before the week is up we will have a ceiling and sheet-rock! yippee! I have decided I really need to measure and take some more pictures as well as write my specific xmas challenge goals. I guess I will do that tomorrow or wednesday. .. so check back soon =) . I have still be craving carbs like crazy and my eats have been pretty bad for me the last three days. I need to toughen up! Need to refocus.. Sounds like I need to get the BFL success ...

I'M Back! and My perfect day!

Yes I am back! Just finished Squats with burnouts, Leg extensions with burnouts, Lat pull downs with burnouts, and bicep curls with burnouts. Feels good! REALLLLLLY GOOD! So.. following in Angells footsteps heres my "perfect" day: Roll out of bed at 815 this morning. Get the family ready (including DH who is off on fridays until Jan.. he has vacation to burn).. We head to get breakfast. Mcdonalds biscuit and gravy for me.. and a coke. Then we go to DHs mom and dads and get to visit NaNa and see her wonderful christmas tree. While there I get a call from Angell and we get to visit for a bit. We then head to the Library so i can get some reference material for a art work I am working on . Next is Target where DHs buys me some THERMAL UNDERWEAR!.. (I am determined to get warm and stay warm this winter.. :).. While at Target J. looks at me and says "Hey.. wheres my coat.. I put it in the cart when we were on the other side of the store!" So.. we head off to look for the...

ok.. so here I am again.. Its 8pm and still no cardio workout. no good reason really.. Its been a busy day with dr appointments, selling Dhs car, cooking, cleaning.. you know all the reasons that get in the way. I decided a few minutes ago that it just wasnt worth the workout. I mean.. come on.. I wont finish until 10pm at this rate... .. well.. I am still debating.. wondering if I want this day to CHOSE to not workout. check back soon to see what happens next on "AS the treadmill turns!" the contunuing saga of the Mom who wishes it were easier to workout :) 10:36PM The sign says it all.. Ups and downs of BFL

Ahh.. the ups and downs of my Body for Life. Today has been going good so far.. I did start the day by grabbing a dr pepper and a marathon bar and heading out the door to take DH to work and the to Hobby Lobby. I took two sips of the DP and couldnt stand the taste! .. ate the marathon bar. Got water when I got home. Well.. I havent been feeling that energetic today.. I think its cause of hormones.. but who knows. I started fighting back a headache about an hour ago.. and decided instead of going in and eating a bunch of carbs (crackers) I would make a shake. (guess what kind?).. well.. as I sit hear drinking it.. I am feeling so much better! .. so far +).. I wanted to post my meals. I seem to be really struggling with getting totally back on track.. During the winter months I just want to drink hot chocolate or apple cider and eat short bread cookies or texas trash! (my favorite!).. so.. PlanXmas Post: "As the Treadmill Turns"

(if you havent seen them.. I posted finish pictures on the side bar link to ch2.. also see post below) Heres the continuing story of the Highs and lows "as the treadmill turns". Yes. I did it. Heres what it took: one long sleeve running shirt one long leg running pant one fleece jacket one heavy coat one stocking hat two shoes two socks some really loud music the tv a cup of HOT tea (before) Heavy coat was off in 8 mins Fleece jacket was off in 10 mins hat and other items never came off.. I just couldnt run fast enough.. maybe someday =) hehe I did five "hiits" three at 7.5 one at 9.3 and one at10,, (having to work my way back up after not running since thanksgiving. ABs consisted of 25 incline situps followed by 25 incline sit ups with twist. (two sets of these = 100) 25hipups followed right after by 20 simple crunches (two sets of these) I will do my pushups later this afternoon.. I will do them in sets of ten through out the afternoon. just to build up stamina. A...

Ok. so I made it again to day.. I admit I DO have a problem. I an so addicted its not even funny. YUMMY! (please note.. as a reward for finishing my challenge #2 I have been letting my self go overboard on the cookies.. tonight was the last night for that.. .. as you will see from my pictures .. my cookies the last three days are going to my waist :) -----------Here are the after pictures. -------------- I will post these on the ch2 progress on the side bar .. so I can compare and see if I made any progress. CH TWO DAY 84 Sundays workout

Yet another day when I exercised when I didnt feel like it. I really dont know what is wrong with me.. but I am tired of having to force those workouts. .. BUT .. I just keep telling myself that someday it will be easy to get it done again. Until then. I make myself keep going. Todays workout wasnt the best.. but at-least I did it. I keep telling myself its more about the HABIT of exercise than anything else. I know that when I am 60 years old I probably wont be able to bench press 100lbs.. but I will, hopefully, have a habit of exercise. SO heres the details for those who are interested. recumbent bike .. 20 mins.. 4 hiits.. most of the hitts were at a 17mph.. total miles done 3.7 abs: 100 crunches when knees coming up to elbows (are those called reverse crunches?) and 40 hip ups. I am not expecting much progress in my photos tomorrow. If anything I am expecting a bit of a slide back. Its close to TOM and I have been craving and eating carbs like crazy! .. Todays Plan

Well.. the bad news is I didnt do cardio yesterday. The good news is I finally finished Macys Name Art. YIPEE! .. Can you see her Name in there? I am excited cause I can now start on Miranda's name .. which is the seven wonders of the ancient world! :).. going to get started on that today. Its officially day 83.. which I just cant believe.! .. I will do cardio later this afternoon and abs too. Its seems to have gone really fast. I am looking forward to Jan and starting CH#3.. and I think I will really enjoy my week off at Christmas! More later after I do cardio! blessings ruthie

007 workout

Another day without a schedule.. heres how the day went. Breakfast made for kids after seeing DH off to work.. .. thought about working out.. but didnt (too cold).. decided to go to super walmart instead.. then the library.. .. get home.. clean house.. leave to go with DH to Olive Garden and then to see Bond. Had a great time.. ate breadsticks and alfredo.. def. off program.. but this was the first date I have been on with DH in months! .. Bond was a great movie.. I liked it a lot.. (i can go into why later) So.. I had decided about 11 this morning to just have this as my free day and not workout.. or worry about what I was eating.. WEll.. it seems this life style is actually .. REALLY becoming habit.. forced habit sometimes but habit. I say that cause on the way home from the movie.. I had a urge to workout.. SO.. not 15 min after getting home.. I hit the weights.. Chest: flies 15.12.10.8.10.. with burnouts press 20lbs @24 times.. The 10 on the end of my set .. after my set of 8.. it ...

"Snow" workout yet

Well.. didnt sleep at all last night cause the sleet kept hitting my window.. wokeup this morning to a little bit of snow on the ground. Roads were icy so they cancelled most schools for the day.. my kids wish we could cancel their school.. .. but no doing.. we have too much work to do :) I have more pictures and will put those on my family blog.. needless to say the kids had fun getting out in it.. getting really cold.. and then coming in for hot chocolate. I stepped into the garage this morning and its WAY to cold in there to run.. (mostly because I am a wimp).. so I will do some jump roping in the warm living room.. probably while watching a bit of tv :) Todays HI .. 32. (its a heatwave down here compaired to your area Josha.. but I am not a tough mountain woman like you! I am sure you have already gotten you snow shoes on and taking a brisk hike up the mountain huh? .. Could it be the weather?

Well. I dont know why I REALLY dont feel like working out but I have a idea it might have something to do with the weather. Cloudy overcast day with freezing rain called for tonight. ITs just one of those days where I want to just sit and read to the kids, or work on my art alllll day. BUT.. I have done it before and I guess I will do it again.. gona force the workout. Gona make myself just get in there and get it done.. afterall.. its only 45 mins.. right? and I will feel so much better afterwards.. right? for some reason I think working out through the winter months is so much harder.. It is during this time that I usually quit. Its during this time of year that I loose focus and give up.. ...... I want this winter to be different. NO excuses. I want to atleast keep what I have worked so hard for.. I dont want that old body back... so.. Here I go.. will post more on this after I am done. ----- YEP.. I do feel better.. I know I know.. not as good as I once was.

Well.. I did cardio this morning and I just had to take it easy. I am not having issues with shin splints. They have been bothering me ever since my hard run around campus on Thanksgiving.. so today I walked most of my "run".. with 0 hiits ;( I did 1.22 miles and tried to run three times but it was hurting too bad so I decided to take it easy and stretch a lot. After I got off the treadmill I did jump rope for a few minutes just to try and get my heart rate up.. that did the job! I did ab work also.. 15 incline situps followed right away by 15 incline twists.. I did 4 sets of those I then did hip-ups.. 4 sets of 24. I am a bit disappointed in not being able to run but I know if I treat it correctly that I will working my way back to that level 10 in no time. Trying to remember that the HABIT of exercise is the important thing here ;) I am off to get my first meal of the day.. and anxiously awaiting more posts from my bfl friends :) blessings ruthie

Progress

Well.. Lately I feel like I havent been make much progress.. I still cant get over how much of this challenge is a mental one! I do understand that will not feeling 100% my self talk will be a bit off as well. So.. I am just trying to plug along through this challenge and hope for the best. I feel I have pretty much hit a brick wall as far as my fat loss.. but I will just keep plugging along.. realizing this is more about being healthy than being a "whatever" size. I could have just hit my natural body weight.. which is fine by me.. I would love, however to start seeing a bit more definition in my muscles.. BUT .. its all about progress not perfection right? Seven Days to go

Only seven days to go. Time sure has gone by quickly. I just finished my workout for today. I actually did pretty well considering I am not feeling to good. Heres the Lowdown: Chest: on smith machine 12.10.8.6. with burnout's of mens pushups 3 sets of 10 Shoulders: Press 12.10.8.6 with burnout's as straight arm flies 24 Tris: Press 12.10.8.6 with burnout's on smith machine tri pull downs. I LOVE this day cause it is so much shorter! Here is my plan for eating today: Meal #1 water and marathon bar (only half) -I had this before my workout- Meal #2 Shake Meal #3 Turkey burrito or egg burrito tea Meal #4 peanut butter crackers water tea.. an apple Meal #5 spaghetti with turkey steamed veggies, one piece of garlic toast (no butter) Meal #6 Shake (banana puddin) Thats it for today.. will post my actually eats this evening.. keep on trucking! ok.. so here I am.. feeling a bit tired, and a bit under the weather. I have had a sore throat all day and feel just a bit "off". I have put off my workout until I felt better.. and right now I do.. so I am fixing to go in and do my cardo for the day. I am sure it wont be as great as my last workout but I am going to atleast do what I CAN do. I am hoping that I am not getting sick. I will be so upset to be sick on the last week of my challenge! .. we will see I guess. more after I get cardo done ********* Just got cardio done. I didnt do that well.. BUT atleast I DID it! .. quick post

quick post before bed.. its midnight and we just got home about 45 min ago from putting up the campus .. putting up the christmas tree. took about 6 hours. I am tired. didnt workout.. plan on running tomorrow.. here are my eats today meal 1 one biscuit and gravy with four sips of coke from mcdonalds (i really didnt enjoy it at all) meal 2 eggs, scrambled with ketchup water and tea meal 3 bar b q sandwich and 1/2 of one small new potato, plain, tea meal 4.. shake, water, and two bites of the cin. roll i bought yesterday but didnt eat.. (I couldnt eat it cause it was just way too sweet for me.. ).. gave the rest of it to the kids. not too good on eats.. but will start fresh tomorrow.. ready for a bit of sleep.. =0 more later. progresssssssssssssssszzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ(goodnight!)

I know I know.. Its late and I should be in bed.. but I HAD to post before I hit the hay. first off I am so sore from my hiits yesterday. If its one thing I learned yesterday is I have stopped pushing myself as hard as I use too. I had a wonderful wonderful girls day with Angell today. It was really nice to have some time to just be without children, or dishes, or laundry, or whatever... to just have a day to relax. NICE! .. Well its turkey day and I cant believe I actually got up and went for a run this morning! .. I had a great run but I felt like I would throw up before I was half way around.. WHY? you ask.. because DHs cousin went with me and ran HIITs with me.. .. he pushed me really hard.. and of course he kicked my bottom in a major way on the sprints.. but it was GREAT! .. I did 8 HIITs in all.. and the last 5 I really did feel like I would loose my lunch. (although I had not had lunch).. anyway.. he use to be a personal trainer and I asked him why I got nauseated .. he said it was the lactic acid breaking down in my body.. and that it was a good thing.. .. so.. heres a new goal... make myself nauseated every time I run =) (not) I then came home and did abs: 80 incline situps with twists 10 reg incline situps (welll.. nate came in with a rash.. out of benedryle.. going to the store.. back to finish later.. ) ok.. i am back.. OK.. took what seemed like forever this morning but heres what I did chest: flies and burnout on smith press shoulders: flies with burnout on press tris: tri pull downs on smith with laying tri press on bench. had a banana puddin shake about 20 min after finishing.. planning to stay on program all day today I do have so "good" news. I havent had a soda since sunday (part of free day=weekend).. and my skin is really clearing up. I usually have small bumps on my triceps and they are starting to go away. I plan to just stay off sodas even on freedays for that reason.. Here was my meal plan for today: Meal #1 shake (oreo) Meal #2 leftovers chicken tortila with lite sourcream Meal #3 marathon bar or peanut butter on toast Meal #4 baked chicken with steamed veggies and sweet tato Meal #5 banana puddin shake Meal #6 marathon bar or shake (this will probably be in the middle of the night) Actual Meals: Meal #1 shake (oreo) Meal #2 tuna and egg salad with 5 crackers Meal #3 went to chillies with the girls.. had a fajita pita with french fries.. yes I ate french fries.. But not as bad as it could have been. I got busy and forgot to eat a meal.. .. I had fries at chillies but am happy that I did not get a coke. I keep trying to tell myself this is a lifestyle change.... not a diet.. so I need to figure out ways to really live my life and be happy with my fuel ...

something has really changed

Well.. I only got five meals in yesterday BUT I did wake up at 145am hungry so I ate a marathon bar and drank some water. This morning DH is off work and so I cooked bacon, eggs and toast for him and the boys and oatmeal for cat. I can not tell you how much I LOVE bacon. I think something has really changed in my way of thinking because I wasnt even tempted to take a bite! I did some things that made my morning a bit easier.. #1 is I got up and got dressed to run.. with ipod shoes and all.. #2 I drank some water as soon as I was dressed and before I started to cook. #3 I listened to my running music for a bit while I was cooking (this put my mind off of what I was doing at the moment and on what I was going to do.) I started working in the kitchen at 9 and didnt get on the treadmill until 10.. but I got it done.. here are the details: running on the mill with 7 total HIITS. all the Hiits were at speed ten and all but the last were at 20 seconds.. the last one I went 40 seconds.. WOW I cant believe only two weeks left! Time has flown by ... I AM looking forward to Challenge #3 =) I am feeling good this morning.. feeling refreshed and ready to stay focused on eating.. I think posting last night.. AND the fact that I was up at 2 AM this morning with a tummy ache.. has had a huge effect on me. =0 I got up this morning and made breakfast for the family and then did some schooling. I started my lifting at 10.. just in time for Price is Right :) .. I finished in 1 hour. Heres what i did It was cool in there this morning so I warmed up on the recumbent bike for about 10 mins. Leg extension 12.10.8.6 with burn outs of squats 24 Leg curls 12.10.8.6 with burnout's of dead lifts 24 Lunges 24 (just to feel an extra burn!) Feeling like I am loosing it

Ok.. heres an honest post.. I feel like I am loosing it.. I mean it.. I feel like I am loosing my leanness a bit and putting back on some inches. It is mostly in my tummy.. and I know why.. its because I have not been eating correctly. I have made a few too many exceptions in the last two weeks as some part of me feels like I shouldn't try to make progress because thanksgiving is coming. I realize that my problem with proper eating is mental.. and it is a mental challenge. My eats have affected my health the last two days as well. Yesterday I had a bad headache and also today. I thought it was probably due to sugar overload but figured out tonight it was probably some gum i was chewing that has aspartame in it.. .. so tonight --out with the gum-off the sweets and back to feeling good again..
