AHHHHH!!!!! (she screams as getting out of bed)

Yes it is true.. its amazing how far the bathroom seems when you are waddling the whole way! Needless to say I kicked BUTT .. and thighs.. and hammies.. all of it is definately kicked! .. I think the real issue here is I didnt drink my protien shake within 10 of finishing my lifting.. guess I learned my lesson! So.. the run this morning was a bit "tight".. I stopped and stretched twice to try and get these legs to loosen up ... didnt work that great.. but I did do 2 miles and the walked home.. I did feel better afterward but really tired! My free day (from lunch yesterday to lunch today) is went well.. I enjoyed the buzz i got off the dr pepper and coke I drank but not the sugar headache i have now! .. I did enjoy the chinese food carryout we had last night.. but not the sharp pains in my tummy afterward.. Ice cream with M and Ms.. I have nothing negative to say about that.. sooo.. with my free day behind me.. I have a half a bag of cheetoes, and half a gal of ice cream in th...

Life is better on the other side of a hard workout

yes... Life is better on the other side of a hard workout.. the house doesnt look as dirty, that laundry pile isnt quite as high as I remembered, and the list of things to be done doesnt seem as long.. funny. After reading A and Js blogs this morning for some much needed motivation and inspiration .. i hit the gym (garage).. got finished in record time and really tried to push myself.. I am hoping I will be sore tomorrow.. well see.. the workout was this squats- hight point was 115lbs .. completed 6 lunges (dreaded lunges) .. with curl bar extensions- high point 45lbs completed 10-8-6 at this weight.. the last two on each of these were diff. abs- incline situps 90.. but I increased the incline to the next level.. AND side twists-curlbar on the shoulders plus 25lbs Thanks to A and J for posting on thier blogs.. it really got me through today.. and its interesting.. when was working out I started noticing increased definition in my thighs.. 66DTG- day 102

Sleep.. I wasnt too successful with sleep last night.. woke up every hour... so.. instead of waking up at 615 to go run I didnt wakeup until 715.. I ended up not getting the dreadmill until 9 .. did my 20 mins and the was off.. I only did it cause I knew I would have to post today .. I really could have skipped.. but I couldnt ruin my record either! I did 1.4 miles in 20.. which is slow .. but I walked most of it cause my shin was hurting.. dont know why.. but i figured i need to take it easy if i want to run on sat morning. I think I am in need of another goal.. that 100 day thing worked for me.. so what could my next goal be.. I think it would be good set a goal at not missing a workout until thanksgiving day.. but that is kinda far off.. so I think I will just start with Cats birthday.. (thats the 21st) it will be day 125. and then if I get that goal.. set one for thanksgiving .. that would be day 158. hum.. i guess i will give it a shot.. UPPER body.. "wimpout"

Yeah.. I almost wimped out.. I did.. almost Last night I was up late with Jo who had a tummy ache.. I laid in bed with him while he cried himself to sleep.. I didnt get to bed until 1.. my plan was to get up and get the workout done before 730.. which is the usual wakeup time for the kids.. of course.. that didnt happen.. SO.. its 1123am and I just finished my upper body workout.. I did push myself and tried to focus on doing slow movements.. I did chest and back by myself.. then after the kids had finished thier morning chores they came and played in the driveway while I finished.. Cat practiced her Mult. tables while jumping rope (she wrote them on the driveway with sidewalk chalk) and then Jo spelled words (with sidewalk chalk) that I gave him while I was doing tris and bis.. Its a beautiful day here and was nice for the kids to be outside.. I think we will do some schoolwork on the trampoline today :) I have been thinking and rethinking the whole .. do a marathon or other significa...

DAY 100!

I cant believe I actually made it! YIPEE! 100 days without missing a workout! This morning I was out the door at 635am.. the stars were out and the street lights were still on.. it was amazing out there.. so quiet.. so peaceful! I was surprised to see so many people out and about this morning ..but it was nice.. made me feel safe. It was cool so I wore a t-shirt with a long sleeve shirt over it..(with my running skirt).. I was so hot at the end of my first two miles I had to shed the long sleeve and tie it around my waist. I walked most of the third mile and jogged the last mile. I was happy with my time on the first two miles.. which i really pushed myself.. i did it in 18 mins.. nine min miles not too bad for an old mom like me.. I guess.:) {please notice the size JR seven capri pants I got for my birthday! JR!.. thats right ladies.. these hips that have carried three almost 10lbs babies are fittin into JRS! woooowhoo) so..to celebrate.. here are 100 reasons to workout, get in sha...

AJ workout

Well.. today was an AJworkout.. by that I mean.. A and J.. Let me explain: Free day started Friday night.. Pizza.. Saturday.. doughnuts for breakfast, Pizza for lunch, hamburgers for supper, and vanilla icecream.. Sunday morning at 2am.. My body was YELLING at me.. after a horrible tummy ache.. I was back in bed at around 3am... Sunday was my BIRTHDAY.. so.. I really wanted Abuelos Mex food.. so I got a "wonderful" tasting lunch chips, coke and all.. I had rice crispies for supper (2 bowls) and a glass of ice cream with M&Ms... I knew what I was doing.. really I did.. I figured if you cant indulge on your birthday when can you.. right? .. Fast forward to 130am.. MY body began yelling at me again.. and again after a horrible tummy ache.. I was back in bed at around 210am.. SOOOO This morning I woke up feeling AWEFUL! my tummy STILL rumbling, my energy ZAPPED!.. I didnt get up out of bed until 922! WHAT! Yes.. you read correctly! .. Of all days I didnt feel like working out...

Saturdays cardio

welll... I FINALLY made it outside for a run.. left about 830 this morning.. just did 2 miles and headed home. The wind was a bit breezy but it was cool and beautiful. I did have to walk twice but only for a few paces. I really tried to push myself, but after not running outside for a week.. it was tough. Good news is that my foot was fine! .. I tried to stay on the grass to get extra cushioning for my feet but it was hard to run cause it was uneven. I might just have to start running in our neighborhood, on the asphalt road, as it is better for your feet. Tonight we go to the university foot ball game.. we are all looking forward to that. Hope its as much fun as last time. OK.. girls.. tomorrow.. I turn 38, I am telling you this cause that gives ME and YOU.. if you choose to execpt the mission.. 2 years to get ready for my 40 year old birthday super sporting event. So far .. I am leaning towards a Triathaon.. I say that just because Idont know if my feet could handly 28 miles of a mar...

What HAVE YOU done (ubw)

OK.. today was Upper Body for me.. I just completed it and my arms are like jello.. so if I miss spell something wrong .. I will blame it on Jello Arm Syndrom. I had a good workout.. good news .. my foot isnt hurting near as bad today.. if fact.. I was like.. HEY .. my foot doesnt hurt.. .. then about 45 min of standing on it.. it started hurting.. good news its progressing.. I made the decision I will start running on the grass (now that they have it put in around the track).. that should help matters a lot. OK.. back to upper body.. Highlight of the workout.. I did Chest Flies with 30LBS IN EACH HAND! I only did 3 but still.. I was thinking.. thats probably having the C&C (the twins).. one in each hand and doing flies! (I thought at first it could be two nathans.. but he weighs more than that now. ).. So.. I was shocked to get three done.. It is truely amazing how God made out bodies .. so much stronger than we realize! We just have to take care of them correctly huh.. NOW for a ...

down but not out

I had everything read to go run this morning.. and I was really looking forward to it.. but I could hear the wind blowing when I woke up and knew it would be crazy to run in that. So.. I crawled back in bed. I ended up not getting back out (except to iron DHs clothes at 745) until 856 this morning. Which I guess is good, guess I really needed the rest since Jo woke me up at 1 last night again.. hes got a pattern of every other night it seems.. SO at a bit after nine I got on the treadmill.. I did my 20.. only 1.37 miles.. I decided I really needed to take it easy cause the ball area on my right foot is still bothering me.. I think it might be tendonitis.. which I have had before.. so I will have to bac...

off schedule still here (75days to go in C2)

Well I am off my schedule.. but i guess its ok... I just finished my lower body workout.. and OH my did I NOT want to do LUNGES! but I thought of Josha and did them anyway.. Then it was time for ab work.. UGH.. I didnt want to do that either.. but i did! I ended up doing squats (going up to set of 6 @115) leg extension, dead lifts, lunges (started with the curl bar on my back and then moved to the smith machine), and then abs (I did 120 incline situps and 75 side twists).. UGH.. I am tied! But you know what.. If I didnt have this blog and I did have friends I know who look at it.. I would have just said.. OH.. I'll just do squats today.. itll be ok.. then I can get on with my day... but I DIDNT.. I call that BFL Sister Pressure! (THANKS) yeah.. I am off schedule.. with Jo being up til three the other night and DH going into work before 6 yesterday.. well we are just off.. my plan is to just bump everything up an hour.. we will be done at 4 instead of three.. but thats ok.. Run is Done

"NATHAN DONT BOTHER ME WHILE I AM ON THE TREADMILL.. UNLESS ITS AN EMERGENCY!" Yes I got the run finished.. but it wasnt fun. I mean girls.. I hated running on the treadmill.. whats happened to me! ahhh! I use to LOVE it.. I think it is because now running in the mornings is MY TIME.. no questions, no interuptions, the only time of the day its that way.. so I just didnt feel in the grove on that thing.. BUT .. I got it done.. 2 miles. I a physical note.. I am having a bit of a problem today with my right foot.. and my right shin.. I am hoping its just a stretching thing.. but I ran through the pain. (it was mild)..

Monday Report :)

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3, NIV OK.. so yesterday I posted my goals for this week.. so far so good.. I got up later than I wanted to this morning I really think I did need the sleep.. woke up feeling good.. I got my workout done after joel left for work and after my protien shake.. I have made a daily schedule for the kids that is posted on the wall in our den.. so while I was working out the kids were getting dressed and cleaning thier rooms.. I focused this morning on making my workout only 45mins long.. and I did it! .. I had upper body.. to get it done that quick I really had to focus on not spending my resting time just daydreaming.. I actually counted in my head the time (I need to get a clock in there).. Anyway.. the workout was great.. and I was tired when i was done. We have completed out bookwork.. which was done by noon.. but then had to run to the store so we are just now eating lunch.. (which is why i am blogging ...

Day 79(C2) and 78

OK.. so I decided to just add to this post I did yesterday.. I have been thinking about my goals for this week.. here they are: 1. This week I will get up earlier to get my workout done before the kids are up and going. 2. This week I will get the kids and myself to bed earlier (kids: 830 Me 930) 3. This week I will NOT drink any carbonated drinks.. no matter how bad I feel :) and no crispies either! 4. This week I will be more scheduled with our day. (more specifics later.. I have to get this finished to I can meet goal number 2.. I have one minute to finsish!) 5. This week I will complete every workout .. working to fatigue.( 6. I will not answer the phone or check email until my workout it over and school work it complete 7. This week I will drink only water. (Gods drink) NOW I must get in bed.. joseph woke up at 4am this morning coughing.. so I have been up since 4.. I thought of you both! good night! posting the positives

I have had such a negative week this week I decided I need to post some possitive things that are a result of the challenge.. here we go: * I am strong! * I can run a long way without passing out! (started out walking 12 weeks ago and about died!) * I found out I LOVE music again.. thanks to the IPOD * I found out I LOVE running again! * My bras dont pinch anymore! * I dont dread trying to figure out what to wear anymore. * I have more energy. * my hair is not falling anymore * my FEET DONT HURT * I enjoy shopping again (guess that could be good and bad) * I am being a good example to my kids and other people too. (My hubby said someone said something about seeing me out running in the early morning.. I thought.. yeah! someone else to inspire.. maybe.. you never know who is watching you) * I dont feel guilty for eating bad on my free days. * I can wear size six (although ladies I was having to pull those up today! my butt is getting so tiny.. another 11 weeks and who knows what size I ...

Better late than NEVER

Well.. slept in til 8 this morning.. felt like I could have slept for three more hours.. I am beginning to think I am just sleep deprived.. but I should be use to that.. My friend E called this morning.. we had a good visit... (they are coming here tonight.. her m and dad sold their house..so they are coming to help pack up.. ) before she called I quized Joseph on his sight words.. he did really well.. maybe a first thing in the morning is best for him? .. ANYWAY.. I didnt get to the garage until 10! yikes! .. I sure didnt feel like doing my workout. esp LEGS.. but I muddled through it.. it took about an hour.. I did squats, lunges, leg extensions, and leg curls, deadlifts... I did ab work.. which consisited of 100 incline sit ups (in 5 sets of 20) .. and side twists, and oblique crunches.. (30 of each of those).. I felt like I could barely make it through mose of the sit ups but I just kept telling myself.. just 20 more!.. I ate a shake BEFORE my workout.. so I guess I will wait and j...

Cool Morning Run

Well.. felt AWEFUL this morning when I woke up.. I dont know what is wrong with me.. but I sure am tired.. I think I will have to take a nap this afternoon.. if I can get the kids to co-operate.. I woke up at 6am.. without the alarm but rolled over and went back to sleep.. my alarm went off at 635 and i was like UHHHHHG! .. I cant get up.. I can t get up .. I cant get up.. ... so I laid there.. Until 650.. Heres my self talk this morning: "I cant get up, I feel aweful. I will just run later, I am so tired, (pause), ok.. well, angell has been done with her workout for over an hour, I bet you she was tired too.. .. (pause) .. I am so tired.. its probably really cool outside, I want to stay warm, I am so tired, ... (pause).. but I bet its REALLY cold up there where Josha has to run.. .. OH.. I will just go back to sleep.. Iwill run later.. .. (pause).. NO! .. not gona miss.. I havet missed, and I am not going to miss today.. I would feel worse if I didnt go.. so get your butt up out...

Good Morning. (Joseph took a pic this morning when I was working out.. just thought Id say HI!) I had a good upper body workout this morning.. right now my arms are so tired! I think mostly from military press and biceps.. dunno.. but they are tired. Heres what I did: Chest: Press: 14- 15lbs 12- 20lbs 10- 25lbs 08- 30lbs 06- 30lbs (the last two on this were HARD) burnouts: Flies 16- 20lbs, 8- 15lbs Back: bentover rows on smith machine 12- 65lbs 10- 70lbs 08- 70lbs 06- 80lbs Lat Pull downs: 24- 40lbs (with cable on smith machine) Shoulders: Military Press 12- bar (45lbs) 10- Bar (45lbs.. last two hard!) 08- bar (45lbs.. last two hard!) 06- bar (45lbs .. last two hard!..again!) Burnouts: seated Flies- 7- 15lbs, 17- 10lbs Triceps (I had a hard time finding my weight on this one.. but the main thing is I worked to fatigue!) Ch2 Day Two- Cardio

Good morning.. REALLY didnt want to get out bed this morning.. but I told myself .. yet again.. I could go run and if I was still tired I could get back in bed.. I was on the road by 645.. I walked to campus, stretched, and the ran the whole 2 miles around. I was happy I ran the whole way without stopping to walk, or rest. After the run I went to the stadium and ran a few bleachers.. but I was pretty tired so I only did a few, stood and thanked God for the beautiful sunrise and headed home. My legs are pretty sore this morning, esp my hamstrings and glutes.. so I guess I did good on my workout yesterday. I am thinking of splitting my upper body into two workout sessions.. Heres what my split will look like: Day one: Chest, Back and Abs Day two: Quads, Hamstrings, abductors Day three: Shoulders, biceps, triceps What I read in The Body Sculpting book I would workout these different muscle groups only once a week. Mondays Meals

Ok things are getting serious over here.. I actually figured out what I ate today.. with the carb and protiens of each... tomorrow I will plan to write it down as I go and also put down fat and calories.. heres todays breakdown: After workout meal: Protien Shake (peach) 12 grams of carb, 25 grams of protien Lunch: hamburger on one slice of bread with katchup (22g protien, 17g carbs) Snack: Marathon bar and water (26 carbs, 13 protien) Snack: 1/2 Marathon bar (before my swim) (13 carbs, 6 protien) Supper: Crock Pot Chicken breast (42g protien) with bar b q sauce(11 carbs) and spinich salad with 5 crackers (24 carbs)= totals: 42 protien, 34 carbs Snack: Shake (peanut butter) 10 carbs (flavoring syrup plus powder) 31 protien ( with p powder plus peanut butter) totals for the day protien=149g carbs=112g Joel helped me figure if I want to do the 30% carbs, 40% protien, 30% fat then I should have 87g of carbs, 115grams of protien, and 87g of fat.. each day..
