By the end of the month

Four weeks down and 8 to go. I officially finished my fourth week today. I have not missed a workout for four weeks and it feels great. I now am going to focus on the nutrition part of the program. I have been eating healthy meals and having zero junk during the week with free day being Friday night supper through Sat noon. Here are my goals for this month: By the end of this month I will: Be able to run a 9 min mile (that would be 2 miles in 18 min with 2 min cool down) Be soda free Be able to squat 100lbs Be able to bench press 50lbs 6 times By the end of this month I hope to: Eat Clean every week Over come my addiction to sugar in sodas Get to bed at a decent hour every night Not miss a workout even though I will be traveling. The workout part of the program has become habit now, my day just doesnt feel right if I dont workout first thing in the morning. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have had some people tell me that I dont need to loose weight. But that my friends in just not...

What motivates you?

What motivates you? For me its my husband and kids. I want to be a good example for my kids of what being healthy means. For my husband I want to be the person he married.. Now I KNOW after three kids I will never fit into that wedding dress.. (the hips are never the same after having three 9 almost 10 lb children).. but I can atleast try to look my best. I was working out this morning (squats, deadlifts and abs) and this gal came on Good Morning America.. .. What motivated her? you can read the link below and find out. After a year of hard work, she had lost 120 pounds. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=1854157&page=1 I am happy to say that I have not missed a workout in three weeks. I feel like I am slowly getting back to the old me.. I did a complete upper body workout last Friday, including burnouts.. it felt great to FINALLY be able to complete a full workout. This morning I was able to do 12, 10, 8, 6 on squats and deadlifts but did not do burnouts. Working up to it slowly i...

the difference and reasons to lift

Whats the difference? Difference between what you ask? Between working out and eating right and doing nothing? Well for me its the difference between thinking I am a fat bum of a person to knowing I am a healthy strong person. Its the difference between not sleeping and night and sleeping GREAT at night. Its the difference between having tons of energy and having ZERO. Its the difference in carrying in two bags of groceries in at a time to carrying 10 bags in at a time. Its the difference between "OH .. a little ice cream wont hurt me.. i deserve it!" .. to " GET THAT ICE CREAM AWAY FROM ME.. WARNING WARNING!" So .. after MONTHS of being off the bandwagon.. I am back on it.. I have not missed a workout for 17 days now.. and I am feeling so much better.. I am now actually looking forward to my workouts.. eps those runs outside early in the AM with Trixy. I didnt want to post on this blog until I KNEW i was back .. and here I am! my goals: gain muscle and stength.. I ...
