great day but no workout

does painting count? how about laundry? or sitting and watching the kids swim while i worked on the computer? no? .. well.. shoot.

today was filled with great memories! a good friend of mine got news today that the baby they are adopting was on its way! sweet baby girl 7lbs :) we had a great day with her two girls and some other friends :) we are all very excited to see our new sweet precious friend! they will return to town on thursday or friday :)

so.. no workout. but its ok.. i will run tomorrow at track..

on the eats front.. I have been learning a lot about this no meat thing..
i have been eating brown rice and found some great info about brown vs white rice..

Food for Healthy Gut Flora

Asparagus contains a special kind of carbohydrate called inulin that we don't digest, but the health-promoting friendly bacteria in our large intestine, such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli, do. When our diet contains good amounts of inulin, the growth and activity of these friendly bacteria increase. And when populations of health-promoting bacteria are large, it is much more difficult for unfriendly bacteria to gain a foothold in our intestinal tract.

inulin is why your urine smells funky after eating asparagus. just another bit of trivia...haha!
