Day 28

tonight I finished my third day carbonated free!.. zero coke, dr pepper, sprite etc.. zero.. since the night of the massive sugar addict headache :)
I have been feeling great.. got up this morning (Sunday) and rode the bike (although i didnt feel like it i might add).. went to church and in class instead of having doughnuts and a coke like usual.. i had a marathon energy bar (made by snickers) and a glass of ice water!).. better yet.. I felt no "wish i could have that doughnut like everyone else" self talk.. AND.. yesterday I had ONE free meal.. and right before bed a bowl of bluebell with m and ms.. :) .. thats it.. and that was enough :)

More important than my progress, my workouts and my meals.. is the changing in aditude, my self talk has completely changed.. it seems to have all begun with the headache the other night.. I have made a decision to be picky, to be determined and to stay on track.. even if I am the only one doing this.. I refuse to quit, to give in, and give up.. ..

This afternoon I realized how much of a change i had made.. I was really wanting to go for a run!.. I was craving a jog on the mill... (could this be me? run instead of sitting on the couch?).. but it was.. ME.. I remember four five, or could it be six years ago when I did the bfl program and got into such great shape it was like my day was off.. not right.. unless I had my run.. I got to where I ran everyday.. not because I had to but because I LOVED it.. I feel those days returning.. I just have to be careful and not over do :) ,..

so today.. 3.5 miles on the bike and 1.5 miles on the treadmill..

I also got inspired today .. check this out

MADISON, Wis. (AP)—Eighty-eight-year-old Mary Stroebe is a little beat up.

On a short bike ride outside her wooded home on the city's west side, she somehow sliced open her calf. There's a titanium rod in her left shin, a constant reminder of a skiing accident earlier this year.

But the bespectacled, silver-haired great-grandmother is still decked out in her riding gear—pink, purple and black shorts and shirt—and her day is just getting started. She's got three weeks left to get ready for the Life Time Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis, named for the chain of gyms sponsoring the Minneapolis race.
